When Mr Latin got married for first time he and his wife spend happy life. At that time Mr Latin income was not good. His income was average but both he and she lived their life luxuriously while having less income.Both of them, especially her wife manage very well in low income.
Reference 01: “ He was unutterably happy with her.She ruled his home with economy so adroit that they really seem to live in luxury”
But Latin was not happy or not like the fake jewellery And love for theater of her wife. He asked her to stay natural do not be fake.
Reference 02: “ My dear, when one has not the means to afford real jewellery, one should appear adorned with one’s natural beauty and grace only and these gifts are rarest of jewels”
But she answered him by smiling and said that I like fake jewellery. After few months she became ill because of the pneumonia and After eight days, she died due to the pneumonia . His husband become depressed due to her death. He was so sad due to her wifes death. He did not manage to live happy life in low income As his wife did. There was a suspense in his mind about how his wife manage to live luxuriously In low income. One day he picked his wives necklace to wed and sale it so that he could buy something to eat. He thought it was a fake necklace but when he went to jewel shop and ask him to sell this necklace then shopkeeper told the original price of necklace and he was totally shocked by hearing that necklace was real.
Reference 03: “Oh! I know it can not be worth much”
Reference 04: “ Well sir,, that is worth between 12 and 15,000 Frances but I cannot buy tit unless you can let me know exactly how you came by it”
He was shocked, he picked necklace and went away and start thinking that from where his wife got this necklace and went to the next jewel shop wear jewellery necklace, he said that I know this necklace because it was sold here. By hearing this, Mr Latin was nervous.he asked jeweler to give me detail. Merchant asked Latin to tell his name and then he searched in register and found that when and where it was ordered.
Reference 05: “ Yes, this necklace was sent to the address of Madame Lantin, 16 Rue des Martyrs, on July 20th, 1876”
Mr Latin sold the necklace and went away thinking about his wife while walking on street that she cheated me thinking that the other jewelleries must be real. While thinking this, he felt senseless.
Reference 06: “ A horrible suspicion swept across his mind…She?…But then all those other pieces of jewellery must have been presents also!…Then it seemed to hun that the ground was heaving under his feet; that a tree, right in front of him, was falling towards hun; he thrust out his arms instinctively, and fell senseless”
He got other pieces of jewelleries and sold all of them. He was shocked but he was happy because he got enough money to luxuriously again. He went to his office resigned from office and loudly saying that I am rich because I have 200,000 francs!
Reference 07: “I am rich, too I am! I have 200,000 francs!”
He got married to another girl but his second wife made his life miserable. He was rich at that time but not living happy life as compared to first marriage when he had less income but he lives happy and luxurious life with her wife.
At the end, Expectation was that he would start living again happy life with her new wife because he had enough money to fulfill all desires of his life but the reality was different. His second wife made his life uncomfortable.
Reference 08: “ 6 months after he married again. His second wife was the most upright of spouses, but had a terrible temper. She made his life very miserable“
